Rajat is a founding partner at the firm. He has extensive experience of more than 17 years in handling indirect taxes including Customs, GST, Excise Laws, Service Tax, VAT/CST, Foreign Trade Policy, SEZ/EOU regimes and State/Central incentive schemes. Rajat has been engaged in assisting numerous clients (multinationals and Indian business houses) as regards transitioning to GST in India and VAT in the United Arab Emirates. Rajat has advised various Fortune 500 Companies in sectors such as financial services, manufacturing, oil and gas, petroleum, infrastructure projects, renewable energy and food processing, among others.

He has been representing clients in proceedings before various quasi-judicial and judicial forums in India. He has also been representing clients and industry bodies before various Central/State Government Ministries/Departments (including Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Commerce, CBIC, GST Council, RoDTEP Committee, Drawback Wing, DGFT and BIS Authorities etc.) qua tax and policy matters as part of Government advocacy initiatives.He has also authored several articles in various publications and is a regular speaker at seminars and conferences in India and in the UAE.

Rajat has worked as a Partner (Indirect tax) at Economic Laws Practice, a Tier-I law Firm. He has also worked with other reputed organizations such as BMR Advisors, Reliance Industries Limited and SpiceJet Limited.

Rajat is a Chartered Accountant (India) and a Certified Public Accountant (USA). He is also a law graduate and has done his Bachelors in Commerce (Hons.) from Delhi University.
